Julian was born in Orange in 1973. He moved to the Cootamundra district in 1974, where he grew up on the family property at Brawlin. Julian attended school at Cootamundra. He then attended the University of Sydney where he graduated with a Diploma in Farm Management. Julian then went to work in Canada for six months. Julian then worked on the family farm, wool classing and header driving.

Julian has been with Delta since they started in March 2006. Julian is married to Charlene and they have 2 wonderful boys; Samuel and Cooper.
